Offshore, waves of 0,20 m are forecast; 0,05 m reach the shore: 75% less, because the wave arrives at an angle, not head on.
The wind blows from the Ponente at 14 km/h: it comes off the sea and pushes the wave ashore. The wave is raised by the wind: it comes in short, one close after another, and drops as soon as the wind eases.
Today Elephant's Beach has a flat sea, 0,05 m wave at the shore. Water at 28°.
Elephant's Beach faces southwest. The Gregale wind comes off the land and keeps the wave down, the Libeccio wind raises it.
