Offshore, waves of 0,42 m are forecast; 0,31 m reach the shore: 26% less, because offshore, waves arriving from different directions add up, and only the one facing the beach gets in.
The Tramontana wind at 11 km/h runs along the shore: it does not raise the wave. Today's wave is mixed: part raised by the local wind, part arriving from far away. Even when the wind eases it does not disappear entirely.

La Praiola faces northwest. The Sirocco wind comes off the land and keeps the wave down, the Mistral wind raises it.
