Offshore, waves of 0,14 m are forecast; 0,09 m reach the shore: 36% less, because offshore, waves arriving from different directions add up, and only the one facing the beach gets in.
The Tramontana wind at 11 km/h runs along the shore: it does not raise the wave. Today's wave is mixed: part raised by the local wind, part arriving from far away. Even when the wind eases it does not disappear entirely.
Today Portonuovo has a calm sea, 0,09 m wave at the shore. Water at 30°.
Portonuovo faces east-northeast. The Libeccio wind comes off the land and keeps the wave down, the Gregale wind raises it.
