Offshore, waves of 0,40 m are forecast; 0,22 m reach the shore: 45% less, because the wave arrives at an angle, not head on.
The Libeccio wind at 11 km/h runs along the shore: it does not raise the wave. Today's wave is mixed: part raised by the local wind, part arriving from far away. Even when the wind eases it does not disappear entirely.
Today Punta Niedda has a sea with a few waves, 0,22 m wave at the shore. Water at 28°.
Punta Niedda faces west-southwest. The Levanter wind comes off the land and keeps the wave down, the Ponente wind raises it.
