Offshore, waves of 0,72 m are forecast; 0,16 m reach the shore: 78% less, because the wave arrives at an angle, not head on.
The coast also screens that sector, so the little that gets in is already damped. The Sirocco wind at 16 km/h runs along the shore: it does not raise the wave. Today's wave is mixed: part raised by the local wind, part arriving from far away. Even when the wind eases it does not disappear entirely.

Punta Chiappa faces west-southwest. The Levanter wind comes off the land and keeps the wave down, the Ponente wind raises it.
