Offshore, waves of 1,10 m are forecast; 0,43 m reach the shore: 61% less, because offshore, waves arriving from different directions add up, and only the one facing the beach gets in.
The wind blows from the Gregale at 25 km/h: it comes off the sea and pushes the wave ashore. The wave is raised by the wind: it comes in short, one close after another, and drops as soon as the wind eases.
Today Torre Pozelle has a slightly choppy sea, 0,43 m wave at the shore. Water at 24°.
Torre Pozelle faces north-northeast. The Ostro wind comes off the land and keeps the wave down, the Tramontana wind raises it.
